8am start for U10+ (walks) Housekeeping info (incl. relays info)
Athletes- be sure to hydrate well in the lead up to the weekend- there are a few very hot days ahead of our meet on Saturday.
This week is our Multi Class Exhibition Relay race and our parent relay races. All athletes and spectators will be asked to take a seat in the grandstands at approx 9.30am for the start of the Multi Class Relay race. Please cheer them all on.
Following on from this race, our parent relay teams will begin their races. There will be two races as we have 12 teams running. All parent relay teams will be asked to marshal with the Multi Class athletes and will need to then work out their team order. All Multi Class athletes and parent relay teams will then walk out to the four quarters of the track in their 1, 2, 3 or 4 position. We ask that all relay parents cheer, encourage and assist where necessary to ensure they are enjoying and soaking up the fun that are relays!!
Parent relay teams will need to wear runners (no things or bare feet) and will be given team coloured race bibs to wear.
We hope that our inclusion of the Multi Class relay race and parent relay races fuels all our athletes (& parents) to have a little more fun and enjoy the sport a little more! Thank you to all parents who signed up 😀 (the Bendigo Bank Defibrillator machine and St. John’s are on standby!)
