70m Parents Race This Weekend!!*
This Saturday for the first time, we will be running our very own Open Athletes ‘Diamond League’ event. We aim to hold a regular event at our meets that is especially for parents and spectators over the age of 18. This weeks event will be a 70m race. It is anticipated that this event will be taking place after the little athletes have completed their 70m event.
At Cranbourne Little Athletics, we encourage the Parents/families of the athletes to be involved in the club. By participating in the kids’ events & activities (whether it be fundraising opportunities or this new venture of Parent Events), it shows our kids that we value and promote fitness, fun and good sportsmanship. Role modeling appropriate behaviour on the track (and from the sidelines) filters from us as Parents to the children, so let’s have a little fun while helping out our Club.
The 70m dash will not be timed, it’s just a bit of fun and a quick and easy way to support our Club and it’s Culture. We ask for a gold coin donation to participate, which is directly donated to the club. If you would like to partake, please sign an Indemnity Form at clubrooms and/or at the Marshalling area (one form per season).
The kids will love that you can be a part of their Athletics world. Listen out for the call out over the speakers for the event and make sure you do some extra long stretches before-hand!
