Week 5 Parent Duty Roster allocations:
Set Up: U9’s (please arrive by 5pm to help set up the track/field. See Brendan Crowley, Grounds & Equipment)
Canteen: U6’s (please report to the Canteen at 5.45pm for your assistance with Luise/Steve)
BBQ: U8’s (please report to the Canteen at 5.45pm for your assistance with the BBQ- see Luise/Steve)
Pack Up: U10’s (See Brendan Crowley, our Grounds & Equipment team who will direct you to what needs to be packed up).
Please ensure you sign your name on the Parent Duty sheet to make sure you get your points allocated.
Starters as follows: Scott- hurdles; Bec/Connie 50m/70m; Mark 200’s & Roger 800’s.
HOUSE KEEPING:
Please ensure correct uniform is adhered to, notices will be issued to those out of uniform. We have new stock of the boys shorts in the uniform shop for those who have been waiting on shorts. Race tags MUST also be worn, failure to do so will mean no results recorded, and/or even asked to leave the track during events to sort out your tag (if you loose your tag, replacements tags come with a fee). **TIP- keep you tag in an “athletics” bag or in the glovebox of your car.
ONLY the parents out on field who are wearing the Hi Vis vests due to parent helping are allowed to be on the track/field. You are welcome to watch your child from the fence bordering the track/field, but please do not enter with the intention of just watching. There were several incidents last week where parents watching their child on the track hindered the event, especially at the finish line (some children’s bar codes were not scanned due to parents taking them off the track too early).
Weather forecast is more wintery than spring, so be sure to wear jumpers/coats during the marshalling and in-between times. Only CLA approved uniform tops and shorts to be worn during events. **TIP: bring a blanket to wrap yourselves in.
Dinner menu at the Canteen is hot Pumpkin Soup with a bread roll ($3) and hamburgers ($4). Free bananas donated by Coles.
